Determining the optimal time to accommodate a group of HR Business Partners from around the world for a virtual training class is a complex task. Our participants span diverse regions: Canada, Mexico, the USA, Europe (France, Italy, Poland, Serbia, Switzerland), and Asia (China, India, Hong Kong). For anyone managing global projects, the challenge of aligning schedules for extended training sessions, as opposed to standard one-hour global meetings, is apparent.
To address this, we collaborated with the client to redesign and shorten the original program duration from 3 hours to 2.5 hours. The final agreed-upon time is 20:00-22:30 (Hong Kong Time). What are your thoughts on this schedule? This timing means some participants will start early, before their official working hours, while others will stay late, after their regular hours.
We deeply appreciate this dedicated global team of HR Business Partners for their commitment to professionalism, learning, and excellence. They are being trained to become Strengths Champions within their organizations. By adopting a strengths-based coaching philosophy, along with the requisite skills and tools, they will support their talents in excelling by leveraging individual strengths. The initial two sessions focus on understanding the strengths-based development concepts and the CliftonStrengths tool, while the final two sessions hone skills necessary to become effective strengths coaches.
Mission completed this week. Special thanks go to Kim Poon from StrengthsAsia, who partnered with my company, Talent Academy, in designing and facilitating this program. Kim is not only a valued friend but also a collaborative partner and mentor in our strengths development journey. As one of the first 20 Gallup Strengths Coaches globally, trained by his mentor, Curt Liesveld—a giant in the strengths engagement field—Kim's expert knowledge and engaging facilitation have significantly enriched our program.
With the right timing, the right people, and the right setting, we envision this group of HR Business Partners igniting their organizations by unlocking the full potential of their talents.
